Elite Restoration recently completed mould remediation work in Moonah TAS 7009 during October 2026. Ten rooms were documented as part of the job, with photos and readings recorded at each stage so the work could be tracked from start to finish.

Mould remediation starts with assessing where the growth is and why it has taken hold. In the work shown in the photos, dark mould had grown along the base of a textured white wall and into the corner where the wall meets a concrete floor. Moisture readings were taken with a Protimeter meter against wet, stained concrete, and a thermal camera was used to check a tiled floor and furniture in a shopfront-style room, with spot readings confirming where moisture was held.
For a job like this, the general approach is to contain the affected areas, remove material that can’t be cleaned and treated, clean and treat surfaces that can be saved, and dry the space before it is closed up. Every step is carried out in line with IICRC S520, the industry standard for mould remediation. Moisture readings are used to confirm when the area is dry, not just when it looks dry.

Why this matters for homes and businesses in Moonah is simple. Mould spreads quietly behind walls and under floors, and moisture problems that go unchecked tend to come back. Dealing with the source of the moisture and documenting the condition of each room gives owners and occupiers a clear record of what was found and what was done.
Elite Restoration is an IICRC certified firm, and the work on this job followed the standards that apply to it. Where insurance is involved, the team liaises with the insurer on the claim as the work progresses, with live onsite reporting, scopes and quotes available throughout.
