Our work follows IICRC S520, the industry standard for mould remediation, and our technicians hold IICRC certification in applied microbial remediation. A typical job goes like this:
Inspection. We map where the mould is and trace the moisture feeding it. Where testing is needed, samples go to NATA-accredited laboratory partners.
Containment. The affected area is sealed off so spores aren’t spread through the rest of the property while we work.
Removal. Materials that can’t be cleaned, such as soaked plasterboard or carpet underlay, are cut out and taken away.
Treatment. Remaining surfaces are cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial.
Drying and sign-off. The structure is dried and checked before we hand the rooms back.
You get an initial report and a scope or quote within 24 hours of the inspection, and a completion report within 24 to 48 hours of the work finishing.
Why it comes back after a clean
Bleach and a cloth take the colour off the surface. They don’t fix a leaking pipe in the wall, a roof that lets water in during storms, or a bathroom with no working exhaust fan. While the moisture stays, the mould returns, often in the same spot. That’s why the inspection matters more than the chemical, and why remediation often runs alongside water damage repair and structural drying.

Questions we’re asked
Will the mould come back after treatment?
Not if the moisture source has been fixed and the structure properly dried. If the cause is outside our scope, such as a roof repair, we tell you so in the report.
How long does remediation take?
It depends on how far the mould has spread. In metro areas our target is to be on site within 2 hours of an emergency call, with the scope within 24 hours of the inspection.
Is mould covered by insurance?
That depends on your policy and what caused the mould, which is your insurer’s decision. We liaise with insurers on a claim and our live onsite reports give them what they need to assess it.
