Water damage and drying
If water has got into the walls, floors or ceilings, the work starts with Water Damage Restoration. Water left sitting in a wall cavity or under flooring is how a leak becomes a mould problem, so the drying matters as much as the cleanup.
Structural Drying, Water Leak Detection and Dehumidifier Hire sit alongside it, and the water work is carried out in line with IICRC S500. If a pipe has burst, turning the water off at the mains is the most useful thing you can do before we get there.
Mould and the air inside
Mould Inspection & Testing comes first, so you know what you’re dealing with before anything is pulled out. Mould Removal & Remediation follows, in line with IICRC S520. Air Quality Testing is available too, and sample testing goes through NATA-accredited laboratory partners.
Found mould? Leave it for now
Scrubbing or dry-brushing mould can spread it, and bleach on porous surfaces like plasterboard rarely reaches what’s underneath. Keep the door to that room shut, and keep anyone with asthma or a weakened immune system out of it until it’s been looked at.
