Leak detection around Tweed Heads from Elite Restoration locates a leak hidden in a wall, a ceiling, a slab or a wet area, marks it for the repair, and dries what the water has reached. Emergency call-out runs 24/7, 365 days a year. In July 2026 a burst hose flooded the kitchen of a house in Elanora, which needed a restoration assessment and a drying plan: a reminder that the water matters as much as the leak.
“We had a pipe burst in our ceiling, water seeped into our walls and our unit was at a very high risk for mould :( Guosheng worked tirelessly to ensure the drying process went as smooth as possible, even working until the evening on a Friday to ensure our walls would be dry and safe over the weekend! An extremely proficient and productive company that thrives on providing excellent service and quality work. Thank you so much for all of your help! <3”
“Guosheng from Elite Restoration did an amazing job dealing with the water damage to my unit, due to a burst pipe. Nothing was too hard and Guosheng had multiple tricks up his sleeve to ensure maximum drying capacity. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent, which made this very stressful situation for me a lot easier to handle. Thanks so much Guosheng.☺️”
A meter that moves with everything turned off proves there is a leak; a pressure test on one run of pipe shows which run. Listening gear hears a pressurised pipe leaking but not a slow drain. A thermal camera shows a temperature shadow in a wall or slab, unless the sun has already warmed it. Moisture meters show how far the water has travelled. Used together, they get to a marked spot rather than an opened wall. A failed shower membrane is the classic case: no sound, no obvious drip, just a damp skirting in the next room, and moisture readings traced room by room back to the recess.

Tweed leak detection questions
Can I check for a leak myself?

What happens to the water damage?
