Leak detection in Perth from Elite Restoration locates a leak hiding in a wall, a ceiling, a slab or a wet area, so the repair goes in at one spot, and then dries what the water has reached. Emergency call-out runs 24/7, with a target of on site within 2 hours in metro areas.
The work covers Joondalup, Wanneroo, Hillarys, Sorrento and Scarborough to the north, Subiaco, Leederville, Mount Lawley, Northbridge and the city, Fremantle, Coogee, Cockburn and Rockingham to the south, and Midland, Forrestfield, Kalamunda and Mundaring towards the hills.
“We had a pipe burst in our ceiling, water seeped into our walls and our unit was at a very high risk for mould :( Guosheng worked tirelessly to ensure the drying process went as smooth as possible, even working until the evening on a Friday to ensure our walls would be dry and safe over the weekend! An extremely proficient and productive company that thrives on providing excellent service and quality work. Thank you so much for all of your help! <3”
“Guosheng from Elite Restoration did an amazing job dealing with the water damage to my unit, due to a burst pipe. Nothing was too hard and Guosheng had multiple tricks up his sleeve to ensure maximum drying capacity. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent, which made this very stressful situation for me a lot easier to handle. Thanks so much Guosheng.☺️”
What you noticed. The bill, the damp patch, the smell, and when it began.
Is it a leak? Everything off and the meter watched. If it moves, a section of pipe can be isolated and pressure tested to see which part is losing water.
Where is it? Listening on a pressurised line, a thermal camera on the wall or slab, and moisture readings traced back to the wettest point. The spot is marked for the repair.
The paperwork. An initial report and a scope or quote within 24 hours, with photos and readings for your insurer.
The drying. After the repair, the wet structure is dried in line with IICRC S500 and checked on alternate days until it reads dry.
Recent Perth work shows where hidden water ends up: an Embleton property where water ingress left a family room wet and needing drying, and a Perth property where mould was identified after water ingress in the downstairs living area, which called for urgent make safe measures.

Perth leak detection questions
Will walls or floors have to be opened?
Only where the leak is. The point of locating it first is that the repair is made at that one place.
How can I check for a leak myself?
Turn off every tap, the washing machine, the dishwasher and any irrigation, then read the meter and read it again an hour later. If the number has moved, water is escaping.
Can a leak under a concrete slab be found?
Often, yes. A pressurised line under concrete makes noise and changes the surface temperature, and moisture readings confirm the spot. A slow drain leak is harder and can take longer to trace.
Who is responsible for a leak before the meter?
Generally the water authority looks after the pipes up to the meter and the owner looks after everything after it. Check with your water authority for your property.
