It begins with a conversation. When did you first notice it, which rooms, and was there a leak, an overflow or a storm beforehand? A burst pipe two months ago often explains a ceiling that looks fine today.
Next comes the moisture. Readings are taken across walls, ceilings and floors around the affected area, because damp usually extends past the edge of the visible growth. Each affected room is then checked, along with the rooms next to it.
Sampling follows only when it adds something: when growth is suspected but hidden, or when a landlord, agent or insurer needs laboratory results. Air or surface samples are tested through NATA-accredited laboratory partners. The results show how far contamination reaches. They are not a medical assessment.
Then the paperwork. An initial report and a scope or quote are targeted within 24 hours, covering what was found, where, the likely moisture source and the work needed to fix it. Reporting, scopes and quotes are done live on site.
