Leak detection on the Gold Coast from Elite Restoration tracks down water that is getting in or getting out where you can’t see it: a pipe in a wall, a line under a slab, a shower that has failed, or a roof letting storm water through. Once the leak is fixed, the wet structure is dried in line with IICRC S500. Emergency call-out runs 24/7 across Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Southport, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Coolangatta and Helensvale, with a target of on site within 2 hours in metro areas.
“We had a pipe burst in our ceiling, water seeped into our walls and our unit was at a very high risk for mould :( Guosheng worked tirelessly to ensure the drying process went as smooth as possible, even working until the evening on a Friday to ensure our walls would be dry and safe over the weekend! An extremely proficient and productive company that thrives on providing excellent service and quality work. Thank you so much for all of your help! <3”
“Guosheng from Elite Restoration did an amazing job dealing with the water damage to my unit, due to a burst pipe. Nothing was too hard and Guosheng had multiple tricks up his sleeve to ensure maximum drying capacity. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent, which made this very stressful situation for me a lot easier to handle. Thanks so much Guosheng.☺️”
It begins with the meter. With every tap and appliance off it should sit still; if it creeps, water is escaping, and isolating and pressure testing sections of pipe tells you which part. A storm leak is different: it shows only when it rains, so the tracing works back from the stain to where the water is getting in.
Locating the leak uses whatever suits it. Listening works on a pressurised supply pipe. A thermal camera picks up the cool patch water leaves in plaster or tiles. Moisture meters show where the wet is worst and how far it has gone. The spot is marked, the readings and photos are logged, and the initial report and scope follow within 24 hours.
After the repair comes the part a plumber doesn’t do: drying the walls, floors and ceilings and checking them on alternate days until they read dry, so mould doesn’t follow. In July 2026 a Mudgeeraba property had mould in a bedroom and hallway after water damage from recent storms, and a Parkwood house had moisture issues in the entrance hallway that needed surface cleaning and sanitisation.
