In July 2026 a Mudgeeraba property had mould in a bedroom and hallway after water damage from recent storms, the pattern a wet season leaves when a cavity stays damp. The job, step by step
Call, any hour. Emergency mitigation call-out runs 24/7, 365 days a year, and in metro areas we aim to be on site within 2 hours.
Inspect and map. The technician finds the source and measures how far the water has travelled. Reporting is live on site.
Extract. Standing water is pumped and extracted before drying starts.
Dry. Air movers and dehumidifiers run in the affected rooms with readings on alternate days.
Remove where needed. Soaked underlay or plasterboard, and anything touched by contaminated water, comes out. If mould has started, remediation follows IICRC S520.
Close out. An initial report and a scope or quote within 24 hours, a completion report within 24 to 48 hours of finishing.

Straight away. Turn the water off at the source if you can and call. The earlier extraction and drying start, the more can be dried in place.
Can I dry it out myself with fans?
A fan dries the surface. It doesn’t reach the underlay, the wall cavity or the base of a kitchen cabinet, and that is where the moisture mapping finds the water. Drying is measured, not guessed.
How long does structural drying take?
It depends on the material and how long it was wet. Readings on alternate days say when it is dry, and the completion report confirms it.
