Our crew attended a water damage job in Stones Corner QLD 4120 in February 2026. The work covered 10 rooms, and each one was documented as the job progressed so the scope could be tracked room by room.

Water damage work starts with getting the water out. In this job, technicians extracted water from a hallway floor using a wand, a blue hose and a running extractor. Where a wet tiled shower floor was involved, a wet vacuum hose was used to remove standing water from the surface before drying began. Removing bulk water first reduces the time materials stay wet and lowers the risk of secondary damage.
One area needed access from above. A bathroom ceiling was opened up and sealed with plastic sheeting and black tape while the work was in progress. Keeping that opening contained protects the rest of the property from dust and moisture while the affected materials are assessed and dried.

All of this work was carried out in line with IICRC S500, the industry standard for water damage restoration. The standard sets out how a site is assessed, how water is removed, and how drying is monitored until materials reach a dry standard. Work to that standard is about recording readings and making decisions based on them, not about appearance alone.
For households and businesses in Stones Corner, water damage can spread quietly through walls, subfloors and ceilings. Moisture that is not dealt with early can lead to swelling, staining and mould growth in places you can’t see. Acting quickly and documenting every room gives owners a clear record of what was affected and what was done about it.
