In March 2026 our technicians documented water damage across 10 rooms in Roma QLD 4455. The work covered bedrooms, hallways and wall cavities that had taken on water, with the affected areas recorded room by room as the job progressed.

The first stage on a job like this is containment. Furniture and belongings are wrapped in plastic sheeting so they are protected while the room is worked on. Technicians in protective suits then clean affected wall surfaces, and air movers are set on the floor to pull moisture out of the materials and the air. Where wall vents are involved, they are treated with a hose from a ladder so the drying reaches the space behind the wall.
All of this is carried out in line with IICRC S500, the industry standard for water damage restoration. The standard sets out how moisture is assessed, how drying is managed and how progress is checked against readings, so the job is not finished on appearance alone.

For a home in Roma, water damage that is not dried properly can lead to lasting problems in the building, including timber that stays damp and a musty smell that returns after the furniture goes back in. Getting the drying right early is what keeps a house sound and livable.
