In March 2026 our technicians completed mould remediation across seven rooms in Tarragindi QLD 4121. The work was documented room by room, with a record kept of the affected areas as the job progressed.

One of the rooms had a built-in wardrobe with water staining and mould on the top panel. The panel was stripped out so the affected material could be removed rather than left in place. Aluminium ladders and plastic sheeting were set up on the floor to contain the work area and protect the surrounds while the stripping was done.
In another room, mould and staining ran across the wardrobe ceiling, the cornice and the upper wall, with dark patches on the shelf wall. Technicians worked in white protective overalls and cleaned the ceiling with a long-handled tool. A dehumidifier was run on the floor to bring the moisture level down and help the space dry.

For jobs like this, mould remediation in general terms means identifying the affected surfaces, containing the area, removing or cleaning the growth, and then drying and verifying the space before it is closed up. The work was carried out in line with IICRC S520, the industry standard for mould remediation, and the technicians involved hold IICRC certifications in applied microbial remediation.
Mould in a home is more than a surface problem. It can point to moisture that has been getting into walls, ceilings or cupboards, and it can affect the air people breathe in the rooms where they sleep and work. Tarragindi homes, like many in older Brisbane suburbs, can have built-in joinery and ceilings where moisture is slow to show up. Dealing with the growth and the moisture source together is what keeps a repair from coming back.
