Water damage, drying and leaks

Water Damage Restoration in Cairns is carried out in line with IICRC S500, together with Structural Drying. If the source isn’t obvious, Water Leak Detection is there to look for it, and Dehumidifier Hire helps where the drying needs to run on.

While you wait, switch off the water at the mains if it’s safe, keep clear of any wet power points, and photograph the damage before anything is moved.

Mould inspection and removal

Mould Inspection & Testing comes before any removal, so the work matches what’s actually there. Mould Removal & Remediation is carried out in line with IICRC S520. Air Quality Testing is available as well, and sample testing goes through NATA-accredited laboratory partners.

If you’ve found mould, try not to disturb it. Wiping or brushing it can push it around the room, and it’s better left until it’s been inspected.

Fire and smoke

Fire & Smoke Restoration is done in line with IICRC S700, the standard for fire and smoke restoration.

Specialist cleaning

Yes. Elite Restoration is an IICRC Certified Firm, certificate number 70100265, with multiple IICRC-certified technicians on staff.

What does CM3 certified mean?

CM3 is an independent contractor OH&S and compliance prequalification, and Elite Restoration holds it.

How the job is managed

We liaise with your insurer from first call to final sign-off, and insurance work follows a 7-Day End-of-Loss project life cycle. Live onsite reporting, scopes and quotes keep everyone working from the same information.

Our head office is in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, servicing Australia-wide. We carry $20 million in public and products liability cover and are part of the Elite group, with the Elite brand operating since 1984.
